It's The Robot Vacuum Deals Case Study You'll Never Forget

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgTop Black Friday and Cyber Monday robot vacuum cleaner quiet Vacuum Deals

If you've ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most intelligent vacuum cleaner robot to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its biggest innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we have ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills effortlessly and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't would like. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.

Its design is also a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties, which is great for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes held the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots aren't able to do. And it did all of this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shed.

The j7+, although not as smart as the $1,217 Roomba S9and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it can't clean the stairs, it's an option for those who want both mopping and vacuum. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the best option. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum at the same time. They also have a number of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they tend to be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.

Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have certain features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a bit to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it a great option for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality aren't able to meet. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make this robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful in setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design and functionality are some of the best self cleaning robot vacuum on the market however, it's also expensive.

It's a small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

And its vacuuming is impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've used that has done well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the home. It also can't climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a cleaning area for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great choice for those who want a robot vacuum that does it all.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of hard and carpeted floors, as well as mopping capabilities for a low cost. It's simple to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be located near an outlet and have plenty of room cleaning robot to move.

The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious compared to some rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The most important characteristic that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it's already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. If it requires a recharge, it returns to its base and resumes cleaning where it started.

The elegant G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is, on the other hand, is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be emptied as frequently, and it has less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
