Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

While robots won't be able to replace a conventional vacuum for picking up dirt-in particles like metal screws and pieces of orzo pasta, they are excellent in sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. The most effective models come with intelligent navigation systems, which helps them avoid cords, toys and other household obstacles.

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is an excellent robot vacuum cleaner vacuum with a number of innovative features that make it more easy to maintain than many competing models. The automatic bin emptying feature is among the most useful features we've seen in a robotic floor scrubber vacuum. It works well on carpets as well as hard floors. The app guides you through the entire process. It's also simple to use and set up. Another impressive feature is the ability to go back to where it was when we tested it. It did this for 77 minutes on one cleaning before running out of battery.

In contrast to other robovacs we've evaluated, the i3+ EVO has self-emptying bins that dump debris into an external dirt compartment on its charging base when it's filled. The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it still needs to be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L that will last for four to five cleaning sessions.

Similar to the i7, this model uses state-of-the-art floor tracking sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only keep one map, whereas the i7 is able to store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones however, not the i3+ EVO.

The i3+ EVO does a better job of picking up surface debris when compared to other robovacs we've examined, but it's not the best in cleaning edges and corners. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being surprisingly quiet. It pulled chairs away from walls, and made some collisions with the sides of our test bed, and also became stuck on cords and toys during testing.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your robot remote vacuum Cleaner collection or just starting out. It offers an elegant design with powerful navigation and effective automation at a reasonable price. It's the most efficient pound-for pound model currently available and even matches some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways.

This robot is fantastic at cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology assists it in staying away from furniture legs or other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and gets the highest score on our tests on navigation. The only snag is that it's a little louder than other models we test and it doesn't do similarly in our user satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro has a very large 770ml dust bin that means you won't have to empty it as frequently as other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've tested. When the battery is low, it returns to its dock and recharges before resuming cleaning where it left off. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. That, combined with some other innovations, makes it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming and mopping tests. It is possible to schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also view the status of your battery. The app is easy to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. This feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple changed its footnote on its website in November of this year to reflect that this feature has been delayed until 2025. Some other robots won't work with HomeKit, but many of them are compatible with Siri Shortcuts.

With a powerful suction and 3 settings for dry mopping, the TP Link RV30 Plus quickly picks up pet hair, dust and other crumbs from all types of flooring. The device can even clean carpets without damaging them thanks to specially designed mops.

During the first mapping run the TP-Link RV30 Plus scans and saves the home's layout by using its LiDAR and Gyro dual navigation system. You can edit the map within the app and combine or split rooms based on your preference. You can also design virtual walls and no-go zones to prevent the RV30 Plus from straying into areas you do not want.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop is one of the top full-featured robot hoover vacuum and mop combos for hard floors. It features a high-tech mapping system that maps your home across several floors. The extremely well-designed base station virtually automates the cleaning process. It offers excellent obstacle avoidance and navigation.

The model is equipped with an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map your home and create efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was a winner in our analysis of coverage and navigation efficiency and was good at avoiding obstacles, including furniture. It also finds its way to the base station if it runs out of batteries during an exercise of cleaning.

It also has a spot cleaning mode that lets you to mop or clean an part of your floor. It can also be programmed manually to follow a certain direction. This is a great option if you have narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test, it performed well cleaning carpets. However, it was unable to clean rugs and carpets with larger piles. It is also possible to set it to automatically raise the mop pad once it comes into contact with carpet, which is a great feature to not mop your carpets.

The iMop includes an onboard dustbin as well as a water tank, which it emptys at the end of each automated cleaning session. The dust bin on board can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris and will only require emptying after a few cleaning cycles. The water tank is able to handle half a dozen mopping session before it is empty. The iMop requires less maintenance and cleaning than an typical robot vacuum, which can be a big selling point for busy families.
