20 Fun Facts About Robot Vacuum Deals

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

Now is your chance to own a robot vacuum. CNET's best robot hoover-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts of up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so that you can tell that it is safe to avoid it.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot to mop we've ever tested, picking up dirt and spills with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. You can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don’t wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

Its design is also superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal for reducing your cleanup time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one place instead of scattering it all over the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't achieve this feat. It did all without getting caught up in our pet's hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to determine if they are working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuumbot cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the best choice is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have lots of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums often be a bit sloppy. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic too, with very little missing in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled by the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set up schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas or alter your home map, or change the room's label.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It also features a large LCD display, which is nice to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone however it can help you keep track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.

The station's most appealing point is how it automates many tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tested that do a really good job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly in the area of navigation. Its LiDAR and laser sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas of your home. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do everything.

But if you want to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of alternatives available, including a lot of eufy models that cost considerably less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features, including stairs, a fully-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac g30

Eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of space to move.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, with a sleek black finish and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which scrubs an area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The main aspect that sets the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items in its path. It can remember the items it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it's time to recharge, it will automatically return to its base and resumes cleaning where it started.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It charges faster, offers the same battery life and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require more emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 however, is more affordable and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.robot-vacuum-and-mop-combo-wifi-app-voice-robotic-vacuum-cleaner-with-schedule-2-in-1-mopping-robot-vacuum-with-water-tank-and-dustbin-self-charging-slim-ideal-for-hard-floor-pet-hair-carpet-2-medium.jpg
