A robot vacuum will keep your floors clean enough to reduce the frequency of manual hoovering. Select a vacuum that is well-trained in navigation, has the ability to clean corners and stairs and also has a large bin that only needs to be emptied periodically.

The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots, but they differ in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. This makes the i3+ an excellent option for those looking for a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience but don't mind manually emptying their robot's dustbin as it gets full.

Both robots are adept at picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors, and they're excellent at maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart map of your home to aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we evaluated the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could get stuck on things like power cords or socks, and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum prior to when you use it, including putting away any toys or clutter it may come across. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from getting blocked. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's dust bin, and then continues cleaning the area where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for about an hour and a half of continuous use, and it takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. Roomba from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model in the iRobot flagship line, and it is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it comes with self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or through the app.

The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from all surfaces, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, though, is its self-emptying dustbin that removes a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the best robot hoover to start, stop or pause its cleaning session, move itself around the room and vacuum a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. Once connected, to voice commands to the i7+, such as "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options to manage i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a sea of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum for most households and can fit in well next to the coffee table or the bookshelf, where you can move it around like the magic wand.

The V10 is powered by seven cells of energy-dense Lithium-ion batteries, which produces power without fading for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system is able to trap allergens and then releases cleaner air into your home. It can quickly switch between handheld and floor vacuum, and vice versa.

The main issue with the V10 is its short running time. Its marketing claims that it can last up to 60 minutes of run time are not true as CR's tests have shown. This is a standard battery-powered cordless vacuum's running time. It's still enough time to clean most of an average-sized house however, it's not enough to cover every area (though an additional run-through often does the trick). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is significantly better for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

One of iRobot's most popular robot vacuums The 694 is an entry-level model that's a good option for those who don't wish to spend too much on a robotic vacuum cleaner sale. It's capable of sucking up all kinds of debris in our testing, and it often goes over the same areas many times to ensure a thorough clean. Its flat front end helps it reach into corners and along the edges of walls, which is a nice addition.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it's not equipped with the best robot vacuum cleaner mapping capabilities of more sophisticated models such as our top selections such as the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. As a result, it is sometimes stuck on things like phone cords or low furniture, and it often will run out of battery before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects because it has fewer components that need regular cleaning It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and is charged faster.

Samsung is a well-known brand in home electronics. It's no surprise, then, that they are also among the top manufacturers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is equipped with cutting-edge onboard technology for navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic vacuum cleaner deals cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior customization, docking frequency settings, and more. The app is simple to navigate and use, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors. It cleaned up 86% of dog hair (on carpet). It did not do well in avoiding taller items such as socks or cords. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested, and this could be a problem for some buyers.

The smart vacuum has an onboard camera that can be accessed through the app, and you can also set up a live stream from the best robot vacuum for vinyl plank floors's cleaning station. This feature lets you to monitor your children or pets while you are away. The filter and the dustbin can be cleaned to ensure a quick, painless clean-up. The Jet Bot AI+ also comes with a clean and tidy station that's self-emptying and helps keep the robot's dustbin clear and optimizes suction power for each cleaning.

6. Black & Decker Robot Vacuum

Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard flooring. The robots have an extra-wide cleaning path, and a dustbin that is 2X bigger than the competitors. This allows them to keep the area clean for longer. They also have two side sweepers that can be used to clean along edges and corners. The POWERSERIES Extreme model also comes with AutoSense technology, which senses if it's picking up dirt on surfaces or embedded dirt and automatically adjusts its power level. The vacuum also has an app that allows users to see the virtual map, manage functions, and create schedules. You can also check the status of the vacuum and then send it to the dock for charging with the click of a button.
