Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so that you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best floor vacuum robot robot mop we've ever tested. It picks up dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. It's easy to control using the iRobot Home app that lets you schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off with your voice.
Its design is also an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor robot. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots can't do this. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The J7+ is an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell if the update is actually working until you've seen it in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than simply clean floors, the best choice is probably hybrid. These robots come with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also come with a variety of additional features, such as smart robot vacuums mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock is one of our favorite robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the least expensive model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't have some of the more luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option if you are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles like table legs and walls. This makes it an ideal option for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is superb and has very few misses in corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using the buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you select the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done easily. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for most people but it can help you to keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the top in the market however, it's costly.
The base station looks nice and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is that it automates many tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does a good job picking up dirt from floors that aren't. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
The Freo X Ultra is not without flaws, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, meaning it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do everything.
If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with more features, such as the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets with low pile as well as high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums that have the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on carpets and hard flooring, and a mopping function at a reasonable price. It's easy to set it up, just snap on one of the side brushes, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be placed near an outlet with enough space to move.
The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is less ostentatious compared to some rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The most important feature that makes the G30 above the rest is the way it cleans. It uses a built-in map to create an image of the non-movable objects that are in its path while retaining what it's cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its starting point and begins cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, offers a similar battery life, and performs better on bare carpet or floors with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundary strips to keep it away from certain areas. The G30, however is more affordable and is much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it struggles less with heavy materials such as cereal.
